A-1 A beach training area which is sheltered by a string of islands standing in front of it to the South. There are several support buildings which house catamarans and wind surfer rigs. The map reflects a "sailing building" and another structure which will be an oceanfront dining and entertainment area.
A-2 The exit from the lagoon passes under a bridge into Algodones Bay in the Sea of Cortés. This allows for kayak training inside the calm waters of the lagoon and a safe transition into the Sea for water activities.
B-1 A large theater for stage productions and video projection. The previous owners left hundreds of theatrical sets and costumes that we may use for plays about the sea and sky. It even has a balcony.
B-2 The main dining area. Three delicious meals are prepared daily by professional staff. Please be sure to alert us to any special dietary requirements.
C-1 East Sports field: regulation size soccer field, a softball field, two volleyball courts and a basketball court. (No photos)

LEFT PHOTO: Central Sports field: four regulation size composite tennis courts.

C-1 East Sports field - right next to the tennis facility - is a world class equestrian ranch, stables and riding ring. There are 18 horses with full tack, and a trainer ready to go. Trail rides along the beach, or out into the hundreds of miles of desert and oasis trails.

D-1 Living quarters are exclusively for OceanCamp. They are a pair of four-story dorms with roof balconies and apartments for staff. They offer comfortable accommodates in 80+ double-occupancy rooms, each with a full bath. All rooms have incredible views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. They surround a courtyard that is very green and quiet. As you can see, the equestrian area is right next to our dorms and the horses often graze in our front yard by the lagoon.
E-1 Classrooms, a student lounge and meeting rooms surround the courtyard of the living quarters. They will be handy for presentations and training.

OceanCamp creates a space that encourages learning, sharing, exploring, creative problem solving and meaningful conversation. We combine serious science with fun-filled sea activities.

F-1 There is a large lagoon just south of the dorms and equestrian ranch. The area marked F-1 will be the location of our underwater video lab. Much of the OceanCamp program is devoted to a video production that each student will take home. Many of the scenes are produced with underwater cameras and later edited into the production. The lagoon is calm and shallow and is a good training ground for water activities such as sailing, kayaking, swimming and snorkeling.
G-1 The pool area is very large and is now being remodeled. Our swimming instructors may also use the pool to "swim check" our new arrivals. In addition to OceanCamp activities, outside vendors can provide PADI scuba certification, and ASA Sailing certification at minimal cost.
Well, that's your introductory tour! You need to get here and see it for yourself. Photos simply can't do it justice. The setting is one of the most spectacular in San Carlos.

Regards,
Mark & Miguel

OceanCamp is expanding its facilities and moving its home into a beautiful and secure location inside a resort in San Carlos. What used to be a luxury world class private resort at the far West end of San Carlos was recently sold to an investment group from Holland. They are remodeling the buildings and landscape, and naming the 68 acre site Paradiso. It is now a more "family oriented" resort which is truly a Paradise, and more.

F-1 Lagoon is in the center and the top right "C" shaped shoreline is A-1

OceanCamp's main operation is inside this exclusive multi-acre area beautiful property. It sits on a long, white sand beach and reaches out into the desert cactus fields. It is set between the landmark Tetakawi Mountain and the oasis waterfall in the rugged red mountains to the West.
